Student Listing Window

This window allows the user to add new student records or view/modify the profiles of current students. It also makes it possible to print a number of student reports, lists, and also export data files.

Header Row
C: (Current) Will display an X mark if the student is currently enrolled. The names of students that are currently enrolled are color coded for easy gender identification. Male students appear blue and female students appear red. If a student is not enrolled their name will appear in black.
H: (Health Verification) Will display an X mark when the students health records have been verified.
R: (Residency verification) Will display an X mark when the student has provided appropriate residency verification.
OoD: (Out of District) Identifies the student as being in district or out of district. The space will appear blank if the student resides in district. If the student resides out of district, then the out of district site code will be displayed.
Site: Displays the three digit site code. This is the code for the school/responsibility center where the student is enrolled at.
Class: Displays the six digit class code for the students homeroom.
Full Name: Lists the students full name. It appears in the order: last name, first name, then middle initial (if there is one). The names are color coded so that gender can be easily identified. Male students appear in blue and female students appear in red. Students that are not enrolled will appear black.
Phone: Displays the students ten digit home phone number.
Resides With: Displays the full name of the individual with whom the student resides with. This could be a parent or legal guardian.
Student ID: Displays the students school ID number. This number will be the same as the students nine digit social security number.
Ethnicity: Identifies the students ethnic background. The types are as follows: AA (African American), HI (Hispanic), AP (Asian/Pacific Islander), CA (Caucasian), AN(American native/Alaskan), and OT (Other). If a student possesses more than one ethnicity they will be listed one after another, each one separated by a comma. Only two ethnicities will be clearly visible from this window.
G.Yr.: (Graduation Year) Provides each students predicted year of graduation. This is based on what grade the student is currently in.
Area: Lists the area code for the region the school is located in. This is relevant for transportation purposes and school bus routes.
Birthday: Displays each students birth date in the form mm/dd/yy.
SS: Provides the students nine digit social security number.
First Date: Refers to the date the student was first entered into our system.
Home Address: Lists each students home street address.
Home City: Lists the city the students reside in.
Transportation: Shows if a student requires transportation. If a student does not need transportation the word “none” will appear. If transportation is needed the type will be displayed. The types are as follows: None, Optional, Regular, Special, Bilingual, At-Risk PK, and Other.
Pri. Lang: Displays the code for the students primary speaking language. The code for english is 000.
Abil Code: Shows the language ability code for each student. This applies to students whose primary speaking language is other than english. Characters AB mean that the student can be taught in english. AC means the student cannot be, and must be taught in their primary speaking language.
Stand: Displays the class rank of each student

Colored Fields and Reasons
Student Full Name - Red stand for current student that is female
Student Full Name - Blue stand for current student that is male
Student Full Name - Black stand for non-current student

Special Keys
Button which allow changing of the set date allows the user to view data as of the previous date entered.
The system will display the current “Set” date in the box above by default and all data displayed will be as of the date shown.
For fast student search.

Icon Buttons
Allows the user to create a new student record. First the cross reference widow will open to cross reference the name of the new student with the names of the existing students on the database.
Allows the user access to existing data on the database. It opens the student query dialogue box. Search for students by selecting from different search criteria. The search can be made as specific or as general as needed.
Brings up the student print window. The user can choose from a number of print selections. The available selections will be presented in a dialogue box.
Opens the student setup window. It allows the user to import enrollment records, transfer students in district or out of district, graduate students, or export data files.
Allows the user to view the selected record or records. This is view only. No changes can be saved.
Places the user in edit mode. A user can then highlight multiple students to edit at one time. Hold down the apple key and click on the students that need to be modified.
Allows the user to modify the records of the highlighted student or students.
Cancels the action and closes the window.
